Welcome to the forum and well done getting restarted.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5....

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

I graduated in 2020 just before lockdown! We were the too scared to go out after that. Silly I know. However, started programme again and I am now on wk 8 R3. I feel heavier and not as fit as when I was on programme in 2020, but I am getting a buzz from it again, so I hope you have the same experience too. You can do it!!👍🏻

Thanks so much! Yes, I had a back injury so left it for a while then I couldn't summon up the enthusiasm during the winter. This lovely weather certainly helps.Good luck and thanks for the support.

We’ll done Claire, I’m on my third round! I found as an older person not used to running, even though I walk a lot, it only takes three weeks and I’ve lost all my stamina! Have to go back to the beginning. Am currently about to do w6r1. Lovely more for it!
