Yay! Well done getting back to it hells_bells2207! I was supposed to have done w9r3 yesterday, and today I'm settled on the couch thinking I'm too tired. But you've inspired me to get out there and run!!! ! Maybe we can inspire each other to keep going through Consolidation and beyond!
Yes I did it! Yay! Got to stick with consolidation now. This is where I stopped last time! I didn2 consolidation runs and then nothing for 6.months! Have you got a plan? I'm thinking 4-6 weeks consolidation. Then add 2-3 mins for 3 runs every week till I get to 5k.
The plan was 3 x 30 min for two weeks, then increase by 2/3 mins each week (if I've done 3 runs & am coping ok), ie 32, 35, 38, 40 etc. But I have not ran in over 2 weeks, prob 3 weeks (different reasons, including lows/ no motivation from my BiPolar. . I will def go out in next 2 days & see how far I cope with. I desperately don't want go backwards.
I have done 2 runs in 3 weeks. Not a great start. I keep telling myself I'll start tomorrow .... I've tried roping some friends in to do a 5k race in June. I figure if I book one in I'll have to prepare for it and force myself to continue.
Well done hells_bells π₯³π₯³πππ.We all have dips and low points. Its about how we respond which is important and you smashed it. Whoop!
Be proud and enjoy some special treats to celebrate your achievement π
Well done. What next? Well the sensible thing is to consolidate for a few weeks and get used to it. Or, you could become obsessive like me and be running your first HM in about 6 months time...
I'm a big believer in once you've passed the 5K mark it is now about deciding on what you want. Do you want to push yourself for a 10k? Perhaps its strength training?
Whatever it is you want to do use this time for a period of reflection, a day or 2 and then get back out there and take on your next challenge.
Hello there hells_bells2207. Well done you, brilliant. I thought I must have missed your graduation post, as had not spotted you for a little while. Brilliant π, and great to have got past that dip. Just goes to show what you can achieve; I hope this will give you great confidence going forward.
Fantastic work you should be proud of yourself. Now that you have climbed that mountain enjoy the view and keep going no point in wasting all that effort.
Fantastic to read this, well done for beating the gremlins (with a big stick? π€) Whatever it was, it worked and look, you are inspiring others to keep going. Go girl !πββοΈπ
Congratulations runnerππ ππΎ. You did it! Now onwards to more exciting things (I'm yet to find out too - I finally completed run 3 yesterday).
I am now going to consolidate with 3 runs for two weeks then go up by 2~3 minutes each week (3 runs) then when Iβm up at 40 +/- minutes hopefully Iβll get to 5K.
The most I have managed is just a dot under 4K (3.97K).
I haven't been tracking my runs but I'm planning to get a smartwatch soon so I can start but I know I'm not yet at 5k I think probably still under 4km. I'm yet to look at the consolidation plan - you're ahead of me with your planning so I might just borrow your planπ. I'll read the consolidation link soon and come up with a plan. Happy running π.
hells_bells2207 I was wondering where u had disappeared as u were just a run ahead of me in c25k. Now realised u were posting in c25k & thats why I missed your posts.Congratulations for completing c25k & motivating yourself to lace up for the last run. Well done π
