week 5 run 3 - done!

After a pretty active day yesterday that left me with sore legs and a stiff back, I wasn't jumping to get out the door today. Sure, after a bath and a good night's sleep, I was no longer sore but still...I lolled about this morning, ate some breakfast and then lolled about some more, trying to dig up the courage. In the end, I just got tired of myself and my excuses and geared up. And....as soon as I was out the door, with the sunshine and the cool air, I felt great and was eager to get going. It was a complete, unexpected and immediate change of mindset which I needed! So off I went and ran for 20 minutes. It wasn't bad...the first ten minutes were absolutely fine, the 10-15 minute segment long and the final 5 minutes I was a bit like a horse who knows he/she is heading home so it was great!! Came home, did a 30 minute yoga session and although it's only 2 pm, I'm calling it quits and the rest of the day is pure relaxation!! I've got my tea and book all lined up!! Have a great day everyone. Happy runs.

Many congratulations on that very special run.

Stay nice and slow for W6R1.........it catches out more people than any other run in the programme.

Keep running, keep smiling.

Thank you. I don't think I'll have a problem with keeping it slow but I'll be mindful...have a great day.

Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran 🏃🏾 ✅ 👍

Thank you. It definitely is a milestone! After all the 'warnings' of W6R1, I'll be sure to be extra mindful and not too cocky!
