Hello and welcome to the forum and the program and we'll done on wanting to start !There are many people who start this program who may be well over their ideal weight.

What we would normally suggest is that you are able to do a brisk 30 minute walk before starting to run .

So depending on your weight and fitness level this would be a good place to start perhaps!

How does that sound ?

No, Zeenasteven2017, you can't be too overweight to start C25K but your joints and your motivation might do better if you starting off with walking it. I did that (twice!) before starting to jog it. Any exercise is good and walking the C25K, picking up the pace for the run bits, is a really good way to get your heart rate up and start shifting weight without hurting yourself and losing heart. Why not give it a go? You've nothing to lose and so much to gain!🚶‍♀️🚶‍♀️🚶‍♀️

Welcome to the forum.

This guide to the plan will give you basic information, including a link to the Active 10 walking programme, which may be the most appropriate place to start. It is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Keep us posted and enjoy your journey.

Hello Zeenasteven2017 👋 I am heavy and I seriously doubted I could do this c25k malarky. Miraculously, I have got the graduation finishline in my sights because, I have run differently to any other efforts in my dim and distant youth. In short, I have learned to run as shown in the slow jogging video linked in the FAQs. Absolute gamechanger. You've GOT THIS!

Hi. No one is to heavy to start the c25k. All i would say is take it at your own pace and listen to your body. Have you looked at the Nhs weight loss app. It worked for me, i lost 2 stone in 6 months and i still had a curry on a friday night and full english on a sunday morning.
