Is there a coach \ voice that just tells you when to run when to walk?
I find the chat a bit akward. Especially when they jump in and tell me I've got a minute left. I'd rather not know.

If you download the NHS C25K app you have a choice of coaches telling you when to run and walk.
Yes but so far they all chat during the runs\walks. I don’t want them telling me how well I’m doing or how long left I have (I find it patronising) some may find it helpful.
Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.
This forum is designed as support for those using the NHS C25k app although you are welcome even if using one of the other C25k apps available, some of which do just as you ask.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
Enjoy your journey.
I agree with you! After advice on here, I downloaded the free version of Runkeeper. You need to set up "custom" runs so you tell it when you want to run and walk, save it with the name of the week, and then it tells you what to do with no other comment. I used "fast" to mean "run", and "slow" to mean "walk. It will include a 5 minute warm up and cool down if you want it to.
If you don't have the info about the intervals for each run, there is a spreadsheet on here somewhere!
Great suggestion!
The spreadsheet is linked in IannodaTruffe's guide (always worth a read), or just follow this link: healthunlocked.com/redirect...
I believe one of our number used a kitchen timer!
What week are you on Shaunie?
I did week3 run 1 yesterday
There are several C25K apps available - bear in mind that some of the timings can be different to the original NHS one:
You could load an interval timer app which you manually set for each week. I use this for stretching/ mobility exercises. It just beeps after each interval
Couldn't do without Denise. I'm running for an hour now & still use her. Sadly I find myself answering her too!!
I don't know id you have an Apple Watch but I have the 'Watch to 5K' app on mine. I think I payed £3.49 for the download but there aren't any other costs. My watch just buzzes on my wrist to tell me when to walk or run! I think it can also give you it as voice commands if you wear bluetooth headphones.
Yes I have an Apple Watch. Thank you for this. I am waiting for a reply from the developers for that very answer.
Thanks
