Yesterday I was consolidating my 30 minute run when I felt very good so decided to increase by a further minute. Next thing I knew I was running through my cool down time. So I finally achieved 5k in 36 minutes. Very happy 😃

But seriously, be careful. Whilst your muscles and your metabolism have developed hugely in the last 10 or so weeks, the rest of your body is still playing catch up. In particular, bones, ligaments, tendons, etc. take much longer to develop partly because they have much less blood flow.

Overconfidence can lead to injury.

Thanks! Just knew i could do it so i did. It was only one minute beyond the 5 minute incremental increase.
