I completed C25K about 10 days ago and have started going to my local Parkrun. I was a bit worried that once the C25K was finished, I might not keep up the running. But doing Parkrun has given me a new focus.
Good luck if you are part way through the programme or just starting - it does work and you CAN do it!

Glad to hear you're finding continuing motivation. I think having some sort of focus is important to keep going - and after all the blood, sweat and tears of c25k, it would be a shame to not carry on!
I'm so glad I started doing my local parkrun each week. Just the thought of taking another few seconds off my PB each week spurs my training runs during the week. I really worried about whether I should do my first parkrun, thinking they were all 'professional' runners, but my worries were needless. Far from lagging along at the back there were over 20 behind me when I finished - woohoo - and I was the fastest old lady!
I think it's a worry for most people. I'm doing my graduation run in the morning at my local parkrun. My son is also going to do it too after a gap of over a year I believe! My next challenge after my R4L on the 13th July is to train for a 10k and then enter a local race it's great to have focus!
For all those just starting out - have faith in the programme and yourself! I was a total novice when I started! Enjoy xx
Parkruns are great. I've only done one of them but I loved it. As Panda says, most people (me included) worried about "what next". It's really down to personal choice. Some people keep up a 30 minute run three times a week, some people try to improve speed over 5K, some of us have entered 10K races and have extended our training and then there's the super humans who've gone from C25K to Half and Full Marathons...
The great thing about running is that it's "your thing" - you can do what you want with it and it can be a lone event (just you and the road) or a group event (Parkrun, Race, etc)... You'll find that even a "race" isn't really a race against anyone else except yourself!
Biggest bit of advice? Have fun, never give up and keep running... and smile! You're a runner!
