Week 6 run 2 complete and no more walking from here on, which I'm delighted about (never thought I'd say that!)
This mooring's run was awesome - out at dawn on a misty morning. The park was empty and still. Lovely.
I have found that my knees have stopped hurting over the last week or so, and I'm back to 1 day recovery times (I was taking 3 days at one point) - and I'm just naturally moving a bit easier and faster, without pushing myself to do so. I'm really starting to feel like a runner - can't wait for the next 'No walking' run!

Yesss!!! Thatโs the spirit! Sounds like youโve hit your stride! Sounds fantastic! Must feel so too!!! Keep going! Youโre on the right track and what will pier it must have taken to be up and at them at dawn!!! ๐
I don't know about willpower - it went awol yesterday. I completed wk6 today but was supposed to do it yesterday until I looked at the temperature and saw that it was only 2C. I stayed in my warm bed instead!
Haha! There are days like that and I donโt blame you!!! 2c I would have stayed in bed too!!! Main thing is you have showed up for yourself today!!! Well done continue to ace it!
That must be awesome feeling your body dealing better with the workload as you've progressed. My knees have been an issue this time around (this is my 4th or 5th restart in 2 years) and I've been tempted to increase the rest days like you but was nervous of losing my momentum. I always find that the brisk warm-up walk gets them feeling good so off I go. But maybe an extra day off is needed! Yes! No more walking! The training wheels are off!!! You'll love Run 3 ... enjoy!!!
Thanks - just finished wk6 run 3, and I really feel like I've achieved something. Amazing to think that only a few weeks ago I was worried about stepping up from 60 secs to 90 secs and I can now run 25 minutes! Looking forward to wk7 and consolidating the gains.
