Confession time......... I've attempted this twice before and had to stop due to injury and then a lack of confidence that I could actually do it, which may be surprising as I go on 40 mile bike rides most weekends.
But running is so different! I've decided that I am making myself accountable, I'm posting my runs publicly so my strava friends can see what I'm up to and how I'm progressing. If I miss one they will know!
The treadmill will be used until I am confident to be out in public and I walked/ran week 1.1 last night, walking was @ 7kph and a light run at 9kph. All a bit achy today but felt good.
Targets for this journey:-
Get further than week 5
Complete the C25K
Run a park run
Complete a Disney 5k whilst on holiday next summer
Lets do this!

Right: cycling is brilliant low-impact cross-training for running anyway so your base fitness level will be higher than many new starters already, and your running and cycling will benefit each other. Making yourself accountable will almost certainly keep you on track, especially if you've already got friends on straws ready to keep an eye! And this is a brilliant forum with lots of good advice and friendly encouragement.
Also, it is very doable and dangerously addictive. Enjoy! 😊
