So both me and my partner started C25K 8 weeks ago he's injured his knee (we belive it's runners knee) so he's out for the time being I was his greasy chicken (from the rocky film) as I was always 1 run ahead of him apparently trying to catch me 😂 he was doing his on the treadmill while I was running outside I'm absolutely gutted for him he's never done a day's running in his 54 years we've both throughly enjoyed discussing our runs pushing each other thru being a bit competitive just to push us to that finish line !!! I'm doing W8R3 later not sure if they'll be much discussion in the hot tub later as it'll feel like rubbing salt in ! Any tips for runners knee ? we're both taking Glucosamine he's got 2 types of knee support arnica gel Glucosamine gel ibruprohen gel 🙄 even tried some decompression exercises

Thanks

That is a shame.

The guide to the plan has links to the NHS Sports injuries pages and advice on minimising impact as well as strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Try to help him keep his spirits up! Injuries are no fun and you feel like you can’t do it and are letting yourself down. Hopefully he’ll be on the mend soon and back on the treadmill as soon as he’s fully recovered!!! Best of luck on your next run! I’m pretty sure he’s cheering you on anyway!
