Did my first run without ‘Laura’ cheering me on - bit strange but nice not having someone telling you you’ve ran for 5 minutes when it felt like 5 days 🤣 - slowed my pace and quite enjoyed it today hope everyone’s had a good day!!

Well done Shandy1! It does feel strange but there’s also that sense of freedom too. Happy running! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Well done Shandy1 . I kept on listening to the Week 9 Run 3 poscast for a while after I graduated, but soon got fed up with being told "You can do this" when I know I can.

I use an interval setting on the treadmill now and just watch the clock to see when I need to speed up and slow down and that's working OK. When and if I eventually run outside (too hilly round these parts for my limited capabilities just now!) I will find an interval app for my phone or use the stopwatch facility on my Fitbit, which will work fine I think.

Enjoy your consolidation period - it's great not to have to wait with some trepidation for each increase for a while 😀

Thank you - I tried the timer on my phone which helped I just set it for 15 minutes then turned around and did same again so got my 30 minutes in - it still kills me though 🤣 x

It will get easier, I promise. It kind of creeps up on you and one day you just realise that nothing is agonisingly aching any more and it's actually quite do-able! Then you start the distance and speed increases (if you want to that is) and it starts all over again 😂

I kept revisiting C25k to give me the encouragement, Sarah Millican egging me on was great ( being from Newcastle area). There are also podcasts that can give structure.
