I have completed C25K twice. The first time a ran regularly for several months after completing the programme, had to stop for a 3 month bout of sciatica, and took year or so to start again. The second time I ran too fast a few months after completing and winded myself! I stopped running for a couple of years then. In January this year I started again. During W6R3, I tripped over a tree root and stopped again until recently. I will be running W4R1 tomorrow and I'm looking forward to it. I did trip towards the end of W3R2 but was determined not to let that put me off.
This time I'm here for good. Well, until after W9R3 when I will find a sensible way to improve my speed or endurance. Or both. I think that the reason I stopped so easily after my second completion was that I had no plan.
I'm glad to be back here.

I’m on my second after graduating 3 years ago . I too had no real plan so I totally get where you’re coming from. Good luck in your future runs & I hope they end safely.
Once you've graduated come over and join us on the bridge to 10k forum (even if you don't want to increase your distance) for support and ideas on where to go next. You will get a message with some ideas and tips when you post your graduation on the c25k forum as well. Good luck!
Many of us have done c25k more than a couple of times… you’ve had a couple of setbacks, but what is important is that you keep coming back and going again… even the elites get injured and have to ease back in.
That said, we will keep you now. Keep combing to see us on the forums even if you are out for a little time, it really helps and with 120k runners here you are never alone in your circumstances. We make a mighty fine team.
I usually keep short, medium and long term goals… when I beat one all I I need to do is plan (or find a plan) for the next. There’s no shortage of plans here, if you run out give us a shout and we will come up with one!
Sounds like you’ve built up a tonne of resilience! It really takes a lot to return to a workout routine of any kind once you’ve had a break and with our exhaustive lifestyles we convinced ourselves that we can’t fit everything all in! Starting again is the hardest hurdle, from here it’s relatively easier just pace yourself and keep going (slowly). It may also be an idea to get your gait checked at a running shop to avoid future falls/injury, and to prevent any hindrances this time. But fall down 7 times get up 8 as they say!
