C25K complete … again!

2nd time through the entire programme… the first time I completed it at lockdown in late March last year. I ran throughout lockdown completing a half marathon just about a year ago. I was loving running (never thought I’d say that!), throwing in regular a 10k to my routine. Then in the November lockdown, I turned my ankle over when out walking. What was a very minor sprain refused to settle and every time I even tried W1R1 I was in pain. In February an MRI scan revealed chronic swelling in the joint and not wanting a steroid injection I started on what has been 7 months of rehab. I started C25K again at the end of April. It’s been slow and it’s been steady, but I’m so pleased to be running for 30 mins again - and looking forward to my first post lockdown Park Run hopefully next Saturday.

Congratulations, those of us who have had to repeat C25K do appreciate the slow and steady to a very great degree.

All you have to do now is continue slow and steady until you are back where you want to be.

My experience of injuries, even those that are seemingly well repaired and compensated for wit extra strengthening, is that they continue to be areas of susceptibility.

So take care and have fun.

Great recovery back to running well done 👍☺️

Well done. It's not always easy after a set back. Take it easy, maybe no marathons just yet.
