Week 1 completed πŸ‘ a bit warm for me tonight, still prefer running in the cold / rain / dark 🀣

I reckon these early weeks are the toughest because you don't ever get chance to get in to a rhythm!!

Looking forward to week 2. πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

I found the stop/start of week one really hard to deal with too! Week two will be better😊

Do you find the 2nd time doing the course a little easier than the first time you did it I think about 2 years ago? well done on completing week 1, onwards and upwards to week2.

Hi Al, yes it was 2 years ago. That time the youngest boy was just coming up to 4 months old so I'm definitely starting off from a better base fitness this time, I've done a lot of walking in the last 12 months. Mentally it's easier because I know I've done it before and harder because I know what's coming πŸ™ˆπŸ€£

Huge well done you !You will have read in the, How to Run 5K post, you will see that the way it all evolves, is designed to get your running safely and enjoyable. Each run , each week is intended to move us on, gradually . Also, the programme does, even from the beginning, teach us decline in our running, Training us to listen to our body and keep us injury free:)

By the time you get further on after Week 6, and the runs get longer, you will be totally ready for them and the newly forming running legs will know exactly what to do!

Go you...on to Week 2 :)

It takes time.. I repeated C25K again after a blip last October...started running again on the 17th December...it took me until April to complete! But...we get there!Just take it slow and steady, (Sound familiar)?

Give yourself time...it is worth it..!

Maybe join the Bridge to 10K September Quest....I know posting there helped me, and others in a similar position!

Firstly , great you have started your journey . I personally found from Week 5 Run 3 when you are running a lot more easier physically but mentally much harder . But each run is a stepping stone to the next . Enjoy your journey .
