Today was run 2 of week 3, however I felt I could go for longer on the 2nd 90 second run so ended up running for 6 minutes . Will I regret doing this or should I just go with how I feel on the day? I understand that the programme is meant to slowly build up your runs and I don’t want set backs by going ahead of the programme so any words of wisdom would be massively appreciated please

Too much too soon?
Welcome to the forum Chocaholi and well done for getting started. This guide is essential reading for those starting the programme or returning after a break. It includes hydration, stretching after a run and knee and leg stretching exercises all of which will help.

I wouldn’t advise doing anymore than the program asks of you. There is a guide that one of the admin team will point you to. It’s really worth a read. 👍 Good luck with your running.
The program is designed to get you safely to running 30 minutes with minimum risk of injury .Following the program as it is laid out is the safest way to do this .
As thousands of people before you can verify .
We will often feel we can do more but as a new runner it takes a surprisingly long time for your body to get used to the stresses of running and over use injuries can and often do strike out of the blue .
It is simply not worth the risk.
You could end up out of action for days , weeks or even longer .
So my advice would be just follow the program and celebrate the success of completing your runs as laid out in the program.
Enjoy the journey
As others have said, the programme uses a proven safe progression in the amount of activity.
Of course you can do whatever you want, but your chances of getting injured are greatly increased if you do too much too soon.
Conserve your energy for now. There's jump in activity coming up moving from Week 3 to Week 4.
Welcome to this amazing programme, well done for joining us, and in answer to your question, as drun says, read the essential guide to running this and follow the programme :)It is such a great journey, so why rush it
Yes as per advice do as you are told these guys and the programme know what they are talking about! Good luck
I totally get the temptation to do more Chocaholi , it was exactly how I felt during the early weeks of C25K. However, think of it this way: six minutes might not seem much, but it's four times what you were asked to do. That's a huge difference. Sticking to the programme is the best way to get results. Happy running!
