Yay I'm officially 1/3 of the way through, just peeked at week 4 and that's quite a jump 3 to 5 mins, how did people find that?

How did you find the *doubling* in time from 1.5 minutes in Week 2 to 3 mins in Week 3?
I had a bit of a break due to a health scare so I had a couple of months off, and I was surprised how much my body remembered so it wasn't too bad, and yes I should think of that transition on my next run lol. Thanks
Just finished R1 W3 and it was surprisingly good. Didn’t feel like I’d doubled the time really. But as my name suggests I was SLOW. My husband came out with me - he’s a marathon runner - but we chatted the whole way round and I stuck to my slow and steady. Looking forward to R2 now. Tho don’t think hubby will be with me again for a while! 😂
I say 'doubling' but I was being a tad mischievous.
In Week 1 your total running time, per outing, was 8x 1 minutes... 8 minutes.
In Week 2, your total running time was 6x 1.5 ... 9 minutes.
In Week 3, your total running time is ... 9 minutes , the same as Week 2 😎
It’s hard work, but do able. The way fitness builds up is almost magical It’s an incredible journey. Enjoy.
I just did w4r1 today and it was fine.
No way could I have done it 4 weeks ago
I'm getting a bit pain ony right calf, bit cardio was good.
I'm 8 years older than you so you will be fine.

It really is, just another week and another set of runs and you are ready
" Believe you can, and you are halfway there "

I didn't find any of the "jumps" too much. However I had to get better at regulating my effort (i.e staying slow) as the program progressed.
I’m just redoing C25k for the 4th time (aged 68)( due to injury, illness etc) and I’d forgotten that jump too and was a bit wary but I coped ok. Then I looked at this weeks run 1 and misread it. I thought it was run for 5, then 3, then 5, then 3, then 5. And I thought Blimey!!! So was pleasantly surprised when I realised the 3 mins were walks 🤣🤣
I can’t believe I’d forgotten the change ups
Just trust the programme and, if you are struggling, slow down some more. Im plodding along much slower than I was the first time I did this but I’m getting stronger. My daughter(aged 34) hasn’t run for the last two years and has been expecting to run as fast as she was then. So she’s gone off like a rocket and has now had to rest for a week as she has made her knees really painful. She has now had to order some knee supports and new shoes.
So I’m plodding slowly and still running with no pain
It really is doable. Good luck you've got this.
It's so good to have all you guys , just such a friendly bunch, I don't need to worry about going any slower as I'm going at a snails pace.
