Jumping back in at week 5 :)

Hi everyone,

I graduated last year but then stopped running around February due to a knee injury. I'm now recovered from that and keen to get back into the running and planning on doing a half marathon next year!

Thanks to having kept up various exercises (and lost 10KG!) I was please to find out that running 20 mins is no problem still, so I'm jumping back in at week 5 with 3 20 min runs this week before moving on.

Great to see this forum is still the supportive place it was last year, and look forward to re-completing the programme - it truly is a fantastic resource which has completly changed my own health and fitness.

Welcome back... sounds about right to me after a few months out. A few more weeks and it may have been a case of starting from square one. Congratulations on the 10kg loss, that half marathon will be so much easier if you don’t have that to carry around.

Happy running.

Definitely! Although I think the mental game is probably in a worse state than the physical, I kept looking at my watch thinking geez I've only done another 2 mins since I last checked!
