I have Week 6 run 3 : 25 mins coming on Tues (10Aug), need guidance on how to prepare for it. It feels like I am not prepared and wont be able to complete. My mind is occupied thinking of what will happen on the day. Need expert guidance, am thinking of drinking a red bull before run.

If someone can suggest whats shoes they use for long runs that will be helpful!!
If you have successfully completed the previous runs then you are physically ready for this run !You just need to convince your head .
It dosent need special preparation , just make sure you are well hydrated ( preferably water rather than red bull ) and take it slowly 😁👍
I did that run last week . As long as you have completed all the other weeks fully , you will be ok. Drink plenty of water every day and do your stretches. Use distraction techniques whilst running and run very slowly. Good luck. Have faith in your running .Routing for you.
Hey itsharsh ... Before I give my own advice, I'd like to know how you coped mentally and physically with W5R3, the 20 minute one? What happened? Did you use special shoes?
That is the run that is posted about more than any other here - it causes a lot of mental anguish (beforehand) for beginners, due to the myth that it's a big jump in time.
I did this self same run this morning and had worked myself up into a total tizzy about it the wole of the weekend as I was away and missed doing it on Saturday as scheduled. However, I went out this morning just thinking I would do what I could and not stress about it.
Well, I completed the run just fine. It wasn't fast and it wasn't pretty, but it was nowhere near as horrendous as I had convinced myself it was going to be (just like the 20 minute one!) and I even managed to run (well jog!) the last couple of minutes at a faster pace than the rest, as suggested by Laura.
You can do this. Just tell yourself you will do your best and you will be surprised, I'm sure!
