Latest instalment in the Broken Ankle Recovery Chronicles!
I woke up with really tight plantar fascia, so I did a whole lot of nerve stretches before I even got out of bed today. Put feet on the floor, ah, that's better, definitely ok to go running. Dressed, warmup stretches, plus some squats (wakes up my dodgy glutes) and out of the door.
I added 30 seconds to the run section, so 2.30 run, 1.30 walk. I can tell you now that the extra 30 seconds felt like hours!!! Had to keep checking my watch was still working 😂
Everything felt fine though, I did 5 running sections, so 12.5 minutes altogether. The hip was fine, and my right glute is burning, so I know it was doing its job for once.
I passed this little beauty on my laps around the playing field, and finished my final run right next to it
