Well after much anxiety I finally left the house and got Week 1: Run 1 done… only to twist my ankle really badly the next (rest) day😩 I’d got so much fantastic feedback, tips and support on here following my first run, I was raring to go for run #2, I’m livid with myself (and the Birkenstocks I fell off). So now I’m spending this extended rest time avidly watching videos how to ‘gentle jog’ properly and digesting all the guidance on here so I can start back better than before but I think I’ll be out of action a good 3-4 weeks yet.
So near, yet so far!: Well after much anxiety I... - Couch to 5K
So near, yet so far!

Wow that really is bad luck and of all shoes Birkenstocks! Which really are kind to feet! You sound as if you are using the time wisely and you will be back before you know. Take care.

Well done getting started. The injury is unfortunate, and I hope it heals swiftly and well. 90% of running is mental, so I always consider reading and watching running videos as essential training, so well done being on top of that side of things.
Oh dear, just rest and don't worry C25K will still be here when you are ready.

Tough.
Ankle injuries can take quite some time to fully repair, because of relatively poor blood flow. Once you are pain free you might try cycling which keeps the joint mobile without impact, thus improving blood flow without exacerbating the injury.
Take care.
