Anyone having issues with app? Keeps closing down on me!

Welcome to the forum and well done on your decision.

The app is known to be flakey at best. Report it to the developers via your download site, otherwise they will not know.

You can always use the old school podcast as linked to in the guide to the plan, which is

essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Thanks you 🙏, just frustrating as I’m on 1st run of week 3 after having spinal surgery and a mental breakdown! 🤦‍♂️👍

Open the app and have a look.

The podcasts do not track your progress as they are just mp3 files.

App just closes down before opening, might be my prehistoric phone but everything else seems to be working?!? I’ll try reinstalling app

Tip: you can fast forward through runs you've already done if the app has lost your progress.

I can't help with the app, but I can recommend 'naked' running. No, not like that!! Quite simply, leave the 'phone etc at home and just use a watch for timing. Maybe a Garmin for recording them, but nothing else.Personally, I try and use just a simple watch with a timer. That way I have nothing to distract me from my running. Not even music now that I have re-found naked running.
