Ever have those days that your body is tell you “No run for you today!”... but your mind say that you can push through it because this IS your run day? Well, that’s where I was at today and it have left me with an incomplete run and a feeling of disappointment. Bed too late, restless night’s sleep, woke with a headache and feeling not adequately hydrated from the day before. Ugh. I was feeling so accomplished to think I did complete the 20 straight minutes only to feel defeated by the extra five more today with having to stop the first time at 15 mins in for about 30 seconds and then shortly after that for about 1.5-2 minutes walking. Not good. Hope next week improves. 😔

Some days it just doesn't come together. Don't fret over it. Chalk this down as a practice run.
Take your usual rest day(s) and go again. If you feel you need to, do W6R2 again to gain confidence. Otherwise just plod on with W6R3.
Week 7 is all the same 25 minute run, so if you can do this one you know you can do Week 7. And if you can do 25 minutes four times, you can definitely do a few more minutes on top, and eventually you'll be doing 30 minutes.
Everything going on in our lives can impact on our performance as a runner. Restedness, hydration and nutrition are at the top of my list of variables that need to be optimised to enable enjoyable running.
Hello. And you got out there and did most of it! When you started week one would you have expected to be able to run for this long? It looks like you ran for 23 minutes, isn’t that amazing??? Good luck with your next run x
