New shoes ! They helped my calves but now my lower back hurts 🙄 am guessing that’s normal until your body gets used to the change ?!

Very pleased with myself tho after finally hitting five k in the allotted time !!! Whoop

It’s going to be a lovely weekend. Enjoy the weather everyone !

Maybe you need to adapt pace, length of stride till you get used to them? Do we get a photo of the shoes you got married to? 😍

Wow - cool and cute. I bought my new trainers online. I thought they were a sunset orange but they are “shrimp”. I have tried to get them as dirty as possible!

Congrats on your graduation!Did you know that it is a scientifically proven fact that red shoes make you run faster? Of course, that may have been a dream - but I'm sure they do.

Have some great consolidation runs and look after the bod. Listen to it, and if it hurts adjust or stop as needed. Have you tried planks? It helps with core strength and may help with your back. IainnodeTruffe and other luminaries will know much. more, so pick their collective brains.

Thank you. I think you’re right about my core you know. I’m back at the gym from tomorrow so am going to do some work there too

Try core work and see if it helps. Just take it easy! Good luck with your running, and I hope the back is feeling better soon.

Wow! You're obviously back to full strength now. Love the shoes. Well done.

Good, thanks, not up to 5k in the time yet but the 30 minutes are feeling more comfortable and my mind is wandering to a relaxed daydreamy place for some of it which is wonderful. I've decided I'll have another couple of weeks getting into the flow and then think about speeding up.. (I've done the 5k if you include some of the brisk walking time so it doesn't feel unattainable anymore.)

Mine totally includes the warm up walking time ! I know what you mean about that dreamy place. It’s almost like meditation isn’t it

It certainly is. I don't know what's going on. I was awake around 6.30 this morning and wanted to go out for a run. Is this me??! It was so beautiful with the mist over the fields.

Bit blurry as I don't think I stopped completely!

That looks so beautiful

Well done. Try doing stretches which target the lower back. I tend to hold stretch for longer when I do these and also do extra before bed not just after runs. Hope it helps!

Brilliant advice thank you. I’m going to alternate between these and my old ones until I get used to them. The other pair were running race flats apparently 🤦‍♀️
