Bit of a slog W3 3mins (2nd time of doing C25K)

I’m finding 90 seconds are over before I even know it, but finding 3 mins a bit of a slog. I ran for longer on the way home (to get back for breakfast quicker), so my theory is I’m not getting through the ‘toxic 10’ and in to ‘the zone’. Can’t wait to build my fitness up again and enjoy the feeling of running easily. Maybe having too much chocolate onboard is part of my problem. It’s a hard life being a chocoholic 🍫

I have been Jeffing 3 minutes running, 1 walking but I think I need a longer run session. On Monday I changed to 3 minutes/ 30 seconds, will probably up it to 4:30 next week.

On Wednesday we found a new run. We had to drop off the campervan for it's annual habitation check so on the way home we parked at the Tame Valley and ran to Reddish Vale, starting straight uphill. I ran all of 5K it, apart from a brief stop at the top/halfway point to work out which route to take back (we had overshot the turning)

Well done Sue. Presume you’ve found the Jeffing has made you fitter? Has it made you faster?

Not faster, Probably not slower either. The main benefit, especially on a longer run is that my legs don't ache the next day.

Well that’s a result 👍

Yes, the day after my 9K, we walked up onto Werneth Low. We were near the top before I realised that my legs were not at all tired. It seems that it wasn't a one-off :)

You are getting out there and sticking to the plan Baddie, and you know you can do it. The more you run, the fitter you get, and I’m sure you will be re-joining parkrun when it returns in June.

Well done

Well done for getting out there. I think you could be right about that toxic 10. It will be a nice surprise for you when you get to the longer runs. Keep on!

So pleased you are back Baddie! Last week I saw that canal barge with the pirate flag and thought of you. You're doing great; in a few weeks you will have built up loads again x

How are you doing?

Trying to get back into some regularity with running and also looking at an exercise bike to build strength around The knee. Trying to get motivated again
