So yesterday took the dog (springer spaniel) off to the local country park for company on my run, he thought it was a game of chase and was having a wonderful time!

Me on the other hand decided it would be a good idea to trip over a rock and fall flat on my face smashing my glasses, cutting my face and splitting my lip 🤦‍♀️ I now have a lovely black eye, swollen nose, fat lip and wearing completely the wrong prescription glasses in an attempt to see where I'm going (not that the right prescription seemed to do the job yesterday!).

The dog was fine btw and came and sat with me until I was fit to walk back to the car.

The really painful part of yesterday's run....I was only 10 mins in and don't know when I'll get out again 🙃

Not going to give up, might look at buying a treadmill though 🤣 Be careful everyone 😊

Ouch! Sorry to hear of your injuries, hope you make a quick and fast recovery. You clearly have the right spirit so am sure you will be back soon enough. Take care until then....

PS - might be worth a quick chat with your GP just to be on safe side given face/head injury.

Thank you, was checked over at the local walk in centre as wasn't sure if my lip needed stitches, thankfully it didn't 😀

That happened to me on Friday, fell flat on my face with the dog, grazed and bruised elbows and knees, face is okay, I am having the weekend off and might run tomorrow if all feels ok, elbow is the worst, Sorry to read about your face, you must have had such a fright, dont let it put you off running though, I bought a canicross harness and lead mid c25k and running with the dog is just the best thing , hope you heal quickly x
