I've now done two consolidation runs with a gap of 6 days between the w9 r3 and both runs. I have had a niggling pain in my left knee so thought I'd have a longer rest between runs. I don't seem to have gained anything from a longer rest period and am now doubting my ability to continue. The week 9 runs were ok but somewhere along the line I've developed this "injury". I'm going to have a 3 week rest now with gentle walks instead of runs. If things haven't improved by then I'm seriously thinking my running days are over. Very disappointing after all the effort of the previous 10 weeks. It may not be so bleak but that's the way I'm feeling at the moment 1/2 an hour after the run.
