TWO YEARS IN

It’s been two years since this C25K journey began. I heard the radio ads this week and it reminded me how glad I am that I started.

I’d always loved walking but wanted to get fitter. I completed twice and loved the second time around.

Covid knocked my health for several weeks this year and I am so so thankful for the support and advice I had from members here when I hit a real low.

Today I ran 5K and loved it. I won’t ever take that for granted.

Happy runniversary! This running lark definitely takes us down some tricky paths and back doesn’t it. I feel the same whether it’s a 20 min run, 3,5,10k whatever - it is testament to what our mind and body can achieve. Congratulations on your new 5k 🥇

Hello Comfort my own story is very similar, always a walker but only got into running through this app 15 months ago. Injury put me out for three months but over the last 2 weeks I’ve done 3 runs over 8k and aiming for that magic 10! So lovely to hear from you and glad you are enjoying running again xx

That’s the important thing, isn’t it? I’m slower than when I started, 🤷‍♀️and totally ok with that as long as I can keep going.

Yes, me too but now I get back and still have some energy left in the tank and no aches and pains. I’m 65 this year so if I can just jog for 90 minutes and complete 10k with a few hills I will be more than happy xxx

Hello Comfort 😊🌸. What a lovely post and congratulations on your second runniversary. Running has been a blessing to many this year, me included and I’m so glad to read you are still going. Well done on your 5k 😊
