Ran this morning..... it was so hard didnt manage to run each time but kept walking and felt awful at the end. Felt a bit under the weather Thursday so think carrying a bug or something..... going to do the run again but give myself a couple of days to rest and hopefully feel better. Trying not to feel deflated as the run (jog 😀) was so hard today and disappointed didn’t manage to jog for the full time..... 😩

You gave it a go, but we all have to listen to our bodies.

Everything going on in our lives can impact on our performance as a runner. Restedness, hydration and nutrition are at the top of my list of variables that need to be optimised to enable enjoyable running.

This post expands on the theme. healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Thank you for reply and encouragement! Will take a few days rest and make sure am feeling fitter before next run. It felt hard going soon after starting so just writing it off and will do the run again. 😀

We all have bad days, please don’t let it deflate you. Good for you for giving it a go. Believe it will be better next time you try when you are feeling recovered and ready for it.

Don’t be glum about it, we’re all learning along the way too, some runs are harder than we thought they’d be at the start and the ones we often worry about turn out to be great.

Give us an update when you’ve done it, we love to hear all the wins no matter how small you think they are. ☺️
