Hi, i finished my 2 weeks of C25k, now i am experiencing dull mild episodic pain above my both knee caps, it seems like tendonitis of quad muscle but because its mild and not continuos, can i still go for my run ? I am too excited to give it a break. Need some advice.

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.

Knee pain is very common. You might benefit from extra rest days.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

In general, pain is a warning sign that you shouldn't ignore. Running on an injury will make it worse. Maybe go for a walk instead for a couple of days?

I will stop running for a few days (sigh) and will do yoga and strentghening exercises, may be go for a walk as well. Thank you :)

Another thing... don't do yoga (or any held/static stretches) immediately before a run.

I have been doing that before each run ! My both knees are painful now. I wish i knew that before. I just found out through posts here that i need to do dynamic warm up before a run and static stretches are for post run. Cant wait to get back to running.
