Still Amazed I Can Run !

I can’t believe that six months after finishing C25K I am still running and I really can’t believe I managed 7.5km this morning. Believe me those memories of the first week of running in the C25K app are still very vivid and at that time it would have been really easy to give up as it was really difficult. However, joining this forum and reading all the positive messages convinced me to carry on with an attitude of “if everyone else can do it, so can I” - so if you are reading this, take my word for it you really can do C25K and you really won’t regret doing it. Good luck to all new runners whichever week you are on. Just remember you can do it!

Well done and thanks for the encouragement. I’m in W3 and the support on here really helps.

Just keeping going, it does eventually end, and it is really worth the effort.

Congratulations on your progress, very inspirational.

I've just completed week 2 this morning, and I really can't imagine running 30 minutes straight in 7 weeks.

Then I read on here the stories of so many people who are doing it, or have done it.

Then every other day I go out and surprise myself again.

Like you say, just go out there and surprise yourself. I’m still surprised every time I get back from a run! Good luck, keep it up.

Hi, yes, still can’t believe I did it when only a few months ago week 1 of C25K was a killer. Like you, I have sometimes run 6km, but normally just 5km, however it was such a nice morning this morning, I just slowed my pace down from the offset and thought I would aim for 7km. Not sure I have the stamina to do it again too soon, but at least I know I can do it. Good luck, but don’t push yourself too hard too soon, just go for it when it feels right.
