I honestly did not think I would be able to run for 25 minutes non stop when I started this, but it happened today! I’m so excited to keep going and get to 30 minutes.
My goal, of course, is to run for 30 minutes, but after that I would like to try to improve my pace. Does anyone have any tips for this? I’m quite comfortable at my current pace and am able to hold a conversation, but eventually I’d like to do the 5k within 30 minutes.
It’s probably a long way away, and I’m happy to take it slow, but any tips would be great.

Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 6, you are now OFFICIALLY a RUNNER, don't worry about 5K in 30 minutes, the main thing is that you graduate from C25K after running the 3/30 minute runs of week 9.
We recommend that after graduation you consolidate for a while just running 30 minute runs until those become comfortable, before working on distance or pace.
When you announce your graduation I will send you a link to a guide to post C25k running.
If you cannot wait, it is sitting in the FAQ Posts, which you will find in the Pinned Posts.
5k in 30 mins is a totally arbitrary distance/time combination, which is great to aim at if it is realistic. Only a small proportion of graduates from this forum who responded to a poll, managed 5k in 30 minutes by graduation healthunlocked.com/couchto5....
Graduation requirements are that you complete three thirty minute runs, regardless of distance.
Congratulations... I’m exactly at the same place as you... I could’ve written this post!!I get what you’ve said 100%. We’ve got a challenging few weeks ahead but like you l am so determined to get to W9R3!
As Oldmet and heatybob above! I also just completed Week 6 - it's a fantastic feeling, isn't it! And I had the same question about increasing pace. I'm running on a treadmill so it's easy to gradually increase the speed, but I don't want to go too fast too quickly. The advice about doing 30-minute runs at the same pace for a while is a good idea. Congratulations for getting here, and good luck for week 7!
