Although I had been running 5k from around week 7, to complete run 3 of week 9 yesterday felt amazing.
I completed weeks 1-7 on the treadmill, and now I run a combination of outside and the treadmill.
I thought I wouldnโt be able to run outside because I had read that treadmills are easier, but for me, thatโs not been true.
I attempted C25k in lockdown 1, but failed to complete. When I picked it back up 9 weeks ago, I was struggling to finish the 1st minute in week 1 and now I am running 5k without getting breathless. Iโve also lost over a stone and am now within the healthy weight range on my BMI.
If youโre considering doing this programme but donโt think you can, please know that you can!
If any weeks feel too hard, repeat those weeks. It doesnโt have to be done in 9 weeks, itโs your journey and you can do it.
