Sixty something bloke just ran for 20 minutes! Alright not perhaps the be all and end all of achievements, it just felt like it for a while after completing W5R3. I must have caught this running bug because I was up and running at 7am despite an 80% chance of heavy rain. I started cautiously but soon fell into a steady rhythm. By the 15 minute mark I'm thinking where's this rain I could do with cooling down a bit. When Laura declared 2 minutes remaining I did something daft and went from jogging to running the final stretch. In the end I managed to cover 4km in 30 minutes including the warm up / cool down walks, so very pleased with that.

I just noticed that "breaking news" item scrolling along the bottom of the screen on my TV while watching Sky News, well done, congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran 🏃🏾 😊

Excellent progress! Well done for still having something in the tank for the last 2 minutes - I completed the same run yesterday and could only just keep plodding along until told to stop! See you over on W6 😀

Just saw your post for W5R3, no wonder it was hard. Tried running around the local sports field when it was -3 and the ground was firm and I didn't have any problems. Fast forward a few days and the combination of heavy rain with warmer temperatures and it was a very different story. It really took it out of my legs, so decided to run W5R3 on the road instead. Good luck with W6.
