Yay I did it! First actual post from me other than replies ...am so thrilled to have achieved this run! I was looking forward to doing a proper stretch of running but today at work walked 12000 steps so was a bit worried, wavered about whether to redo the 2 x 8 mins but decided to go for it! I did a decent warm up beforehand. And I did it! It was brilliant despite it hammering down with rain ☔️. I am now soaked to the skin, my feet are squelching but I ran for 20 minutes! Cannot believe how much I love this plan! Thanks everyone for all your posts which help us new ones and dispel any worries. Week 6 on Monday!!

Congratulations to you AH21MM on running for 20 minutes in heavy rain, run 3 of week 5 is a milestone run with C25K,

Take runs 1 and 2 of week 6 especially slowly because they are back to interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran 🏃 👍

Well done you! I’ve got Week 5 Run 2 tomorrow, and I’ve been nervous about the 20min run coming next. So much inspiration on this forum.

Yay you certainly did it! The dreaded 20, well done you. And I agree, it’s a superb plan. I ran as well late this afternoon - like you had been at work, and was a bit worried about finding the energy. Mind you I’d only done 10,500 steps already 🤣. Onto week six for you now, remember to take it slow. Happy running 🏃‍♂️👍👏🏼.

A very big congratulations to you, well done! I know what you mean, it feels like such a big milestone with it being a continuous run. I was on cloud 9 for quite a while myself. Watch out for week 6 though, it definitely continues to test you. 👍

Congrats!

You've conquered the biggest psychological hurdle in the program, aside with W1R1.

NOTHING else in the remaining weeks should faze you now.

Crack on!
