I looked at the weather forecast to see more snow coming! So when I woke up today and saw it coming down fast, I figured I best get running before it sticks!
Man did I underestimate how bad the weather was ๐ The snow was really heavy but worse than that was the wind that came with it! It was so windy that when the snow hit my skin it hurt slightly and I could hardly hear my music or Coach Bennett at times ๐ I also couldnโt see for the majority of it because my glasses were foggy and covered in snow and I had tears in my eyes from the wind ๐ In the last couple of mins I was running uphill against the wind and it legitimately felt like I was running in slow motion! To onlookers it probably seemed like I was doing the running man ๐ my soggy feet were running but lord knows I was getting nowhere! ๐
BUT! Now Iโm home and Iโve had a hot shower and got into a warm change of clothes, Iโm reflecting. And it was still a good run! I changed my route and that felt really good, excited to try it under normal conditions! And the fact I went out and persevered just proves to myself how committed I am to my running. It might not have been my best run in terms of speed or distance, but mentally Iโd say I achieved a lot today

My first two runs have been like that, Iโve just done my third run (week 1) on drier ground and sunshine And found it much easier.. maybe that will be your next run, well done showing determination in the snow! X
well done on the run in difficult conditions ! I like the fact that the couch to 5k motivates what ever the weather , no snow for me today but yes that wind was biting ! keep warm and happy running
Ooh hard core. I did mine yesterday- in a T-shirt! It's piddling down today. At least it's not snowing. Some nutters like running in the snow. I guess if it's fresh and soft it might be ok. But careful if freezes over.
Running in snow is really not my favourite! But yeah the weather has been mental! On my previous run I was sweating buckets it was so warm! Really regretted not wearing a t-shirt! And yesterday I had to wear a wooly hat and regretted not taking mittens ๐
Wow ๐ฏ that is dedication, youโre definitely committed. I could almost feel that snow and wind hitting my face as I was reading your post ! Well done you for getting out there and squeezing a run in before the weather got even worse ๐โ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ
