So after yesterday's hilly outing, and yes tired legs they were last night in work π³. Today was definitely a run on flatter terrain β , and after a nudge off limu_mu perhaps a little late here I am.....
Home schooling in full flight, so after breakfasting and a caffeine top up, a tried and tested routine of many years, tried running pre breakfast once as some people can, it's not for me, I need that morning fuel.
I'd decided today to take the Brooks Launch for an outing ( a 2nd purchase and often overlooked in favour of the ghost 13's ) I'd forgotten that bounce, they are quite springy.
Dynamic stretches to ease those calves and even a few squats I blame CBDB for those, but they definitely get the blood flowing pre-runπ.
That bouncey spring is almost speeding me up without trying to hard and the towpath glides by in 5.48 for the 1klm, followed by 5.44 for the 2nd legs warming up now and it does definitely I've found strengthen your legs running in the hills, the flat seems almost effortless π.
It's only a planned 5k today looping around the nearly empty primary school, there were more teachers on the playground than pupils, weirdly surreal, those poor key worker kids, probably thinking " where have all our friends gone?" Strange times for little ones.
The next 2 k are nice 5.52 and another 5.48.
The last klm is along the main road towards π .
A blip of speed sees 5.21 and done.
Hope your runs were great today VRB's and remember enjoy them however they goπ
