The running continues, January the 8th run number 9 π I was always pants at arithmetics π€£, this could be you next year 9weeks2runπ never say never (just get better asap pls)
After a whole day off yesterday, to do the family stuff and many teenager taxi journeys, it was a somewhat restful day away from work. Meaning this morning a fully recharged Ian threw on his mix-match Running kit, and it was a mix match.
Injinji toe socks
Ronhill two in 1 leggings/shorts
A marks and sparks long sleeve top
And Aldi hat n snood
Karrimor gloves away to go...
Chilly, with flecks of sleet perfect!
Lured to the towpath by Mummycav and her yesterday run I was on it π.
Ok so slow an easy the legs are still turning ok I've never ran more than 3 days in a row, this is new territory π€.
So far so good... It's a mushy towpath towards the aqueduct, but it's safer than yesterdays run,( accompanied by a vrb acountrycabbage, those hills and slope's were requiring careful foot placement were a little dicey.....)
I'm not heading across but under and back up onto the opposite side, breathings easy but that cold air does take your breath. It's an empty canal today, no people's no ducks just me.
I felt good going into the 4klm and wanted a little more, why not. Looping off the towpath, it's a swap to the footpath and a gentle run down to the bridge at New bridge crossing the River Dee, the slight hill, allowing me to slow down and crack open the haribo fuel π.
Through very empty streets I head towards the opposite end of the aqueduct, the run is on a newly refurbished towpath with golden pea gravel the noise is sooooo captivating π.
An empty visitor free Aqueduct brings up that 10klm and a final k towards home done!!! Where's that hot shower π₯Ά.
Just read the Ron Hill story in my Runners World yikes his run streak was a mere 19032 consecutive days!!! I won't be going that long π€£
Happy healthy safe Running all VRBs
