Week 2, Run1

I am really pleased that I have done 4 "runs" already. having just completed W2R1. The 3 runs of week 1 did get a tad easier each time. Hoping that will also be the case for week 2, as I found the extra 30 secs of running felt like much much longer than just 30 seconds!

When I started and heard Laura say, "you can walk now," my response was always "I don't think so, Laura." Four months on and having graduated 7 weeks ago, I do one "long" run which I increase by 5 minutes per fortnight (currently 45 minutes) I have to force myself not to ru further on my shorter runs.

If it was easy, we wouldn't have the obesity problem we have in the UK (a bit hypocritical of me as my BMI is just under 30).

But, you can do this.

Enjoy it, or at least, enjoy the feeling once you've finished.

Thank you for your encouragement

Trust us, in a few weeks you will be like "what on earth was I doing finding 1,5 min long?". You will progress and no it won't be easy. But wait and see (or rather feel). What is now hard, is easy peasy in a few weeks!

I hope so. It is encouraging to read that so many others have been there and moved on to run so much further and longer.

I am at the same stage as you and completed W2R1 yesterday . I was pleased that week one's sessions set me up well for my first 90 second runs - I felt such a sense of achievement. I'm sure it will get easier 😀

Good luck. I’ve done the 2nd run of week 2 now. I’m just thrilled that I’ve done 5 runs now. That in itself is real progress.
