So, on CR9 with my wonderful no.2 daughter, we ran 5.2k in 39 minutes. I’m delighted - I thought it would be months before I managed the magic 5k, but there it was. And I was expecting 45 minutes (ish) so doing 5k in under 38 was a real bonus. Now I’m wet, cold and tired and my knees ache. Definitely need a day off. And a mug of tea!

What’s CR9?

After you complete C25k you are recommended to consolidate by continuing three 30-minute runs a week, so CR is Consolidation Run. I’ve done 9 of these now, sometimes less than 30 minutes, sometimes a little more, sometimes gently, sometimes pushing a bit more.

Impressed. I expect a sub 45 minute 5K on Saturday. A sub 40 minute 5K will take me a lot longer to achieve than you. You should be chuffed.
