Changed my route today but went too far away from home. Michael said that the 25 min run was up and I was a long way from the end point i.e. my warm house 😳
Decided to carry on running as it had started raining. Did 30 mins running instead, then walked for 5 then ran for another 5 to get me back as soon a possible and then the 5 min warm down....more than I’d planned but got me home slightly drier 😂
At least I know weeks 8 & 9 will be achievable! 👍🏻
What do I do now, carry on with 30 or go back to 25??? 🤔

We are all capable of doing way more than our bodies are conditioned to do, but not without increasing our injury risk. Sticking to gently progressive training plans is the safest way to push our limits, whilst gently increasing our resistance to injury.
I know. I’ll stick to my old route next time. Thanks for the advice 😊
Ohhhhh Leeloo7, that's you on the naughty step 🧐 and a vital lesson learned, I too got over enthusiastic back on my own C25k journey in week 7, definitely don't, over-run...... It's a successful plan for a reason 👍.. you've proved to yourself what your capable of, but stick to the structure..... ✅. I used to run pretty much the same route, so as not to leave myself far away from home, allowing distance for that cool down walk...
Fingers crossed you'll be off the naughty step in time for your next run 🙂
Yes I’ll go back to my other route for the next run. Just fancied a change but didn’t realise it was so far!I won’t do it again. I’d be so upset if I couldn’t run as I enjoy it so much.
Well done, sounds like your getting through the runs comfortably, funny, i also over ran in possibly w7/8, the app had paused, when i got a phone call, ended up doing 34 mins, by mistake 🤣 but at least i knew i could do 30 mins!
Ha ha. I won’t do it again. Or try not to at least!! I was thinking of different routes to mix it up a bit. I’ll stick to the tried and tested for now 😊
