Still got an ache in a calf perhaps I'll take an extra days rest ; there's a lot of people about on a Saturday etc.....not really excuses but neither reasons for not running.
Then it rained just as it was getting dusk and the recreation ground emptied of families and just left a few dog walkers and joggers.
Yes I did it. My slowest pace according to Samsung health was around a 8 min mile. So well chuffed at that.
As a former regular runner of three or mile miles a few times a week. After a break of around thirty five years of doing any running at all. I'm now finding (aside from an aching calf muscle), that it is my lack of strength in my leg muscles holding me back. Breathing was never a problem and I soon got back into that rhythm........
But my leg muscles are growing again already and its only the end of W4.
No going back......just wish I could convince my wife to give it a go!

I got quite severe pain in the calf at week 4, so I took a couple of weeks off until the pain went away. Then I did a week of just walking, then started again on week1. I have now got up to week 2, and all seems well. I also took the advice of Iannodsma of this group, who said drinking 500 mls water, before and after running is important, as well as drinking water on rest days. It certainly seems to help. Good luck
