The girl who used to hide from P.E at any opportunity just did run 3 of week 5! A massive 20 minutes of solid running. I am beyond HAPPY! What.A.Feeling! πŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ’›πŸ’›

I always hit a barrier at the beginning of my runs and I think every single time that I won't be able to do it but once I smash through that barrier, it somehow becomes easier and achievable 🀩

Well done. The barrier that you are struggling with at the start of every run is common to all runners and is known as the Toxic Ten healthunlocked.com/couchto5... and is the reason that there is little point pushing hard at the start of a run.

Try a slower start pace.

Oh wow thank you for this little insight very interesting. That was my biggest problem when I started, going too hard at the start but I'm getting better with my pace now but still a lot to learn πŸ’›

Love the photo. Yeah - you have started to discover the Toxic 10 at the beginning of the run.

For me it is the Toxic middle ten that I have to defeat. But we are all different.

Run slowly in Week 6 (at least save your best for the last few minutes - never at the beginning) and you will get there easily
