Those two extra minutes are eagerly waiting for you H. Just run round the peat bogs and marshes and muddy puddles then you will be flying over the finish line just in time for Christmas (and more Consolidation runs).
Hey well done HattieCooke ! You can definitely do Week 9 because you can easily run (jog) for two minutes now, can't you? So there you go! Think of it like that - warm up, then run for a couple of minutes. Then remind yourself that you just have a Week 8 run to go, and you've already achieved that. Lo and behold - Week 9 run done!
The way I look at it is to ignore focusing on the minutes and do what your instructor tells you to do. I try not to look at my watch or anything and just listen out for the next message. Eventually it's five minutes to go and the end is in sight. I remember 25 minute runs where I stopped as soon as I was told to do it, and wondered how I would run the extra 3 minutes, but it was the same 5 minutes to go instruction as for 25 minutes.
