Hi,

First time posting, I have just finished W3 R3 and will be stepping up to W4 R1 on Friday (a bit daunting). I turn 50 in January and I am determined to graduate by then 😀

Having watched the slow running videos it appears that is my natural pace! So feel better about my lack of speed now.

I am being very diligent about warming up and doing the cool down stretches as I know I am prone to muscle pulls and strains - I mostly feel it between lower calf and ankle and when I have damaged this in the past I have been unable to walk up stairs without yelping l, so I am ultra cautious.

Really enjoying an excuse to get outside during these chilly dark days.

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.Doing extra stretches for your susceptible areas will pay benefits.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.
