After yesterday’s opening optimism I headed out this morning for my W4R2 and was half way through my last 5 min run when I felt something go on the inside lower right leg. I’m fuming as I was really enjoying the run, taking it slow in a local beauty spot but obviously stopped running straight away. I’ve iced the area which has helped and have put a tubigrip over it. Anyone have any tips on how long I should wait before running again. I really don’t want to lose my progress. I have booked in for gait analysis with a local running shop on Friday as I can’t think how else I could have done it other than gait problems. 😡😢

Ouch Wonder it sounds suspiciously like it may well be a calf niggle, attached is a previous posting that may help..

Thanks for this. From the description on that post I’m pretty sure this is a mild injury so will look at some strengthening and hopefully a gait analysis will help me find some better running shoes and protect from further injury 😊
