Just about managed it and no injuries and feeling ok although pretty tired. Should I go on to W6 or do you think I need to practise this and do again? Not sure whether you need to "perfect" the longer distance before moving into the next few weeks?

Glad that you enjoyed your run today and had no injuries, well done on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 🏃‍♀️🏃🏾😊😊

Thank you for your encouragement - I still can't believe I've come this far in such a short time - I think its because I'm just doing it slower which is allowing me to do it for longer! 🤣

There is no practise! You don't have to be 'good' at any of the runs. Do them and move on. Your body is now ready for W6R1. Why? Because Week 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 have prepared it . That's 15 runs - 177 minutes (nearly 3 hours) of running in your legs now.

Crack on!

Wow! I hadn't thought of it like that - thank you so much for reminding me - that person on my shoulder who keeps saying I'm crap at running has been put in their place! Thank you for the encouragement - this forum is amazing and has helped me a lot - it's onwards to W6R1 tomorrow then!

Well done. This post about mental approach may help you decide healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Nothing wrong with repeating a run........ nothing wrong with stepping outside your comfort zone either.

Stay nice and slow for W6R1.. .......it catches many out.

Thank you for the steady advice (and warning) - the responses on this forum are incredibly encouraging - your article rang true on a number of levels and has inspired me to go for W6R1 steadily, but with excitement....👍
