Hi,

I’m new on here and after completing W5R2 this morning I have only just realised that not all runs during the week are the same. I am very, very worried about W5R3 on Thursday, and at the moment don’t think I’ll be able to do it. Does anybody have any tips I can use? Thank you

Everyone thinks that but the previous runs have prepared you. Trust the program. And, most of all, slow down and slow down again!

Drop your pace down. You Can do this. You're not running a marathon and have to win. I did this at 4.8mph but I did it.

Thanks both. I worry that I’m running too slowly now, but as long as I keep going for 20 mins I’ll be happy. I’ll remember what you both said on Thursday. Thanks!

I am no expert and start week 5 on thursday, we are planning on just getting to be able to run for 30 mins, you can work on your speed after that once you can run for 30 mins you have teh rest of your life to push for more speed, as Sarah kkeps saying to me "yer doin greeat"

Nice and steady, don't worry about speed. You can do it. It's not a race. Trust in yourself. Good luck and keep us posted.

I'm at the same point as you although unsure when I'll be able to do the next run. If you managed the 8 mins twice I'm sure you will be able to do it. I had to re-do run 2 as I failed miserably but I managed it today, can't see how I will be able to do the next one but trying to believe in myself and the program, and if the worst does happen and I don't complete it first time, so what? I'll get back out and try again and again until I do. We WILL and CAN do this 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️💪👍

Thanks Amy. You're right; we will do it. I'll be cheering you on. Feel better about it already!

The previous week's runs have been building you up gradually to be able to do the next runs, its best not too overthink the next runs, you'll be OK, remember slow n steady, and afterwards you'll wonder what all the fuss was about! It's literally mind over matter most of the time..

Yes..just believe you can..because you really can..:)

Take it slow and steady and take it one step at a time. The runs prepare us for the ones following..:)

Just run... that is all it takes:)

Hi. Thank you for all your support and tips to help me through W5R3. I did it! I stuck to what you all said, slow and steady, and apart from jelly legs at the end, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be; can't stop smiling!
