W5 R3?? advice please

Hi - just after a little help.

Three times of trying but have now got through W5R2 which I am really pleased about. However it wasn't easy for me. So should I consolidate this run one more time or go for the challenging W5R3? My head says to consolidate one more time on W3R2 but my heart is telling me to try the W5R3 and see how I get on.....maybe I have just answered by own question??

Thanks for your help as always..

If you are happier repeating the run, repeat it.This breakdown of W5 may help you to rethink the situation though healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

You are in charge........do what suits you.

You say it wasn’t easy. Could you be trying to run too fast? It’s very common. A gentle conversational pace is all we’re trying to achieve. Do you have enough breath to sing to yourself?

Do this, and you should manage W5R3 fine.

Good luck 🍀

Gentleplum, the decision is yours consolidate or run, it's still going to be there so firstly, don't worry About it, why not go for it see how it turns out, you may just surprise yourself!!!!!!!! Come back and tell us though 👍

Slow down substantially and move on to run 3.

I’ve struggled with every single run but I’m now on week 7!! Keep going but like others have said, take it really slowly x

It's up to you. If you do choose to do it and don't complete the runs at least you're building up your stamina and you can try again 2 days later. Or you can repeat W5R2. It only delays your progress by one run but best of all you're getting more miles under your belt - building up your stamina. So you see there is no failure, whatever happens it's win-win.
