W5R2 - Feeling Faint

Just completed the run and feeling faint......but not because of what you maybe thinking.....

Being from Yorkshire, I’m a firm believer in the saying “money ain’t for spending”!

If you’ve read my previous posts I might have mentioned i’d had a little bit of foot / leg soreness. So summoning up much courage and steeling my nerve I went on t’internet and ordered some proper running shoes (I’d have gone to the shops if it wasn’t for lockdown). After recovering from the shock of the cost of said shoes I eagerly awaited their arrival.

Shoes arrived today so tonight’s run was their first trip out. What a revelation! I almost would go as far as to say I enjoyed the run.

I’m still feeling faint from severe spending trauma, but I guess that feeling will fade in time to be replaced by the satisfaction of being an (almost) proper runner.

Uh... this is just the beginning...someone once said, Running is a very inexpensive sport...they lied !
