Graduation day!

After a weekend of miserable weather, I finally got out and did my W9R3 to graduate! I admit, it's not 5K. 30 minutes for me is 3.65 K (2.25 miles). While a bit disappointed, I'm really OK with it. I'm a 62 years old man who, at this time last year weighed 285lbs (130kg). Walking up a single flight of stairs was a challenge. I hadn't done a stitch of exercise since my mid 20's. I'm so glad that I found this program!

Congratulations on your graduation πŸ˜πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Don't worry about 5k, as you know, that is not a requirement for Graduation !

I think I did 3.9k on my graduation run !

Don't forget to claim your Graduate badge πŸ‘

Well done - it’s an amazing achievement! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ†πŸ₯³πŸŽ“

Absolutely no reason at all to be even slightly disappointed! You just ran for 30 minutes. 3 times in a week! That’s fantastic. Look how far you’ve come since you started!

When I graduated, I think I managed 3.2K, so you’re faster than I was. I still can’t run 5K in 30 minutes. 36 minutes is my best effort; but I’m not keen on that distance. I found that I liked to run slower for longer. All options are open to you during your consolidation runs, but for now - well done for graduating and I hope you continue to enjoy running! πŸ˜€

Wow, to go from nothing to 30 mins with your "rest period" since your 20's is nothing short of awesome.

I also used to carry some extra weight (still do but a bit less than it was) and I know that being heavier isn't exactly an encouragement either.

You should be super proud of your achievement.

Keep going the rewards are worth the effort.

You are amazing and an inspiration, don’t worry about the 5k. Most people don’t make it - you can have all the fun of building up to that.
